Planning for Sustainable Groundwater Management

The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) was signed into law on September 16, 2014. SGMA requires that local agencies within each groundwater basin develop and implement a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP). Pursuant to this requirement, Tulelake Irrigation District, the City of Tulelake, Modoc County, and Siskiyou County are working together to develop and implement a GSP for the Tulelake Subbasin.
